KP LEVEL 1 - MOVEMENT THERAPY CONCEPTS
The 3-day KP Level 1 - Movement Therapy Concepts course will teach you the foundations of movement screening/assessments, mobility techniques, stability protocols and the foundational movement patterns. This will give you the confidence to know what to assess (and why), how to identify areas of opportunity (and how to address them), and understand the implications of the results for your training programs.
CEC/CEU Approved
WHAT'S INSIDE THE PROGRAM?
YOU WILL LEARN TO...
Perform a comprehensive movement screen
Learn to complete a comprehensive movement assessment to identify areas of opportunity in both mobility and stability, and determine an appropriate entry point for your client.
Assess and address breathing and foot mechanics
The breath and the feet are commonly problem areas holding back clients from achieving consistent and sustained results.
Apply various mobility techniques to address areas of restriction
Use assessment results to determine the specific cause of restriction and apply step-by-step mobility protocols to restore function and optimize movement quality.
Develop functional stability to improve control during movement and lower injury risk
We will use progressive stability protocols to address areas of instability where clients may experience energy leaks and be at increased risk of injury as exercise difficulty and load increase.
Teach and coach the foundational movement patterns safely and effectively
Determine the correct exercise entry point for your client based on what they CAN do right now. Then, learn how to safely progress the difficulty of each exercise.
